TNC DRIVERS BELIEVE LAWS DO NOT APPLY TO THEM

It has only been a month, but right off the bat Uber drivers and Lyft demonstrate that they can not follow new laws

required by DFW airport.  Yesterday I waited in the taxi queue 3 different times at DFW airport for over 3 hours

each time.  I had to pull out each time without loading.  All the while these drivers are taking over the airport but,

cannot seem to follow basic laws.  I will do everything that I can that airport authorities become aware of this.  I am not

saying that they care or will do anything about it.  It just needs to be brought out to all of the taxi drivers that are

waiting for hours and hours in the taxi queue while these guys are taking their business.

So you guys are getting away with it for now, but as I have said before, given enough rope you will hang yourselves.

HERE IS A COPY OF THE 19 POINT INSPECTION THAT LYFT HAS DONE.  SHE STATES THAT ALL FOR HIRE TYPE HAVE THE SAME CREDENTIALS.

HERE IS THE 19 POINT INSPECTION THAT LYFT GETS.

Everyone applying to be a driver must pass a 19-point vehicle inspection before being approved to drive. Here are the items included in the checklist, which is completed during a
  1. Foot brakes
  2. Emergency brakes
  3. Steering mechanism
  4. AC/heat
  5. Front and rear window, and other glass
  6. Windshield wipers
  7. Headlights
  8. Tail lights
  9. Turn indicator lights
  10. Brake lights
  11. Front seat adjustment mechanism
  12. Doors (open, close, lock)
  13. Horn
  14. Speedometer
  15. Body Damage
  16. Muffler and exhaust system
  17. Condition of tires, including tread depth
  18. Interior and exterior rear view mirrors
  19. Safety belts for driver and passengers
If any of the above items don’t pass the inspection, applicants will need to have them repaired and reinspected by our Drive Team.
